Center for Excellence in Congregational Leadership (CECL)
I have been at the Green Lake Conference Center in Green Lake, WI since Monday evening of this week. It has been a good week for me personally. Not only some time to relax on Tuesday, but two extremely challenging days. We have been challenged to be a pastor who is making a difference in my community. Challenged to offer God all of who I am as a person and pastor for his glory. I have been challenged to keep my focus my ministry outward to the lost and unchurched…so that they might come to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. I have been challenged to keep Pea Ridge Baptist focused the same…outward and not inward. Jesus came to “seek and save that which was lost” (Luke 10: 19) and we must have a similar mission and vision to reach our community for Jesus Christ…to build the kingdom of God is our goal and our calling as a church and I really want to remain faithful to that calling as a pastor and church.
I want you to be praying for me and for part of our vision team over the next few days. Mike Myers, Paul Bock, Carla Booth and Erica Mullins will be attending meetings with me over the next two days and we will also have lots of time to process what we are hearing. Pray that the Holy Spirit might move in our hearts and energize and strengthen us for the work of building the kingdom of God.
I look forward to our continued partnership in the gospel…reaching people with the love of Jesus Christ. Let’s remain faithful to His mission for the church…let’s remain focused on building disciples of Jesus Christ.
Thanks for your faithful prayers.
Serving the Kingdom together,
Pastor Greg
