A Day In The Village
This blog entry was written by Mackenzie Warnock on behalf of the entire team…
Hey everybody!! Today has been a great day for so many people! (Including us) we went to one of the sugarcane villages for Bible school and we were all touched by the enthusiasm of everyone. The children’s faces lit up as we stepped off the bus; they excitedly grabbed our hands and began to show us around. We all helped out in some way, whether doing crafts, puppets, games, making paper crowns for the kids, or helping with the lesson. The children were so happy to learn about God’s word, and it changed our perspective on our wants and needs.
I think Alex Bock summed it up quite well in his prayer as we were on the bus home “Lord, they may not have the best houses or the best things or the best clothes, but we are thankful that they can have the best home in Heaven.”
