Children

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me..."

Matthew 19:14

Our mission of making disciples inspires us to share God's truth and love with children of all ages. We make a specific effort to empower parents and guardians to disciple their own children, and as a church we partner with that effort through specific times of teaching and activity throughout the week.

Ridge Kids on Sunday mornings

We invite elementary age children to worship with their families during the first portion of our worship service, which starts at 10:45 a.m. After we pray together, lift our voices together in praise to God, and greet each other, children are then invited to meet our children's ministry leaders at the door of the sanctuary to go to their teaching and activity time. There, they will receive God's Word on their learning level and have opportunities to participate in fun activities and ask questions. On the first Sunday of each month, we observe Communion together and children are able to do that during Ridge Kids with the approval of their parent or guardian. We invite parents or guardians who are new to our church to register their children for Ridge Kids before the beginning of the worship service or they can do so by accompanying their children to Ridge Kids and then returning to the service. Registration typically only takes a few minutes.

Ridge Kids on Wednesday evenings

Each Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. we invite kids in kindergarten through 5th grade to spend time together in God's Word, play games and enjoy crafts! Teams of volunteers rotate throughout the month to help share biblical truth in fun ways. We ask parents and guardians to park in the back parking lot and walk their children into the building through the double glass doors on the left side of the courtyard area, then follow signs to the fellowship hall. Pickup is at 8 p.m. and we ask parents and guardians to come to the upstairs classroom to pick up your child.
