Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me..."
Our mission of making disciples inspires us to share God's truth and love with children of all ages. We make a specific effort to empower parents and guardians to disciple their own children, and as a church we partner with that effort through specific times of teaching and activity throughout the week.
Ridge Kids on Sunday mornings
We invite elementary age children to worship with their families during the first portion of our worship service, which starts at 10:45 a.m. After we pray together, lift our voices together in praise to God, and greet each other, children are then invited to meet our children's ministry leaders at the door of the sanctuary to go to their teaching and activity time. There, they will receive God's Word on their learning level and have opportunities to participate in fun activities and ask questions. On the first Sunday of each month, we observe Communion together and children are able to do that during Ridge Kids with the approval of their parent or guardian. We invite parents or guardians who are new to our church to register their children for Ridge Kids before the beginning of the worship service or they can do so by accompanying their children to Ridge Kids and then returning to the service. Registration typically only takes a few minutes.
Good News Club on Tuesday evenings
Each Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. we partner with Child Evangelism Fellowship to host a Good News Club for elementary age children. We ask parents and guardians to drop their children off at the side entrance to our sanctuary. Each club includes fun songs, games, Bible teaching and crafts. We also hand out a snack to each child as they leave. Pickup is at 8 p.m. and we ask parents and guardians to pull their cars up to that same side entrance so we can bring your child to you.
Vacation Bible School
dates and times for 2021 are still in the works!
Each summer, our kids ministry welcomes preschool and elementary age children for three nights of fun and Bible teaching! We are still in the planning process for this year and will post more details as they come together.
